hold a certification from RICE University as language instructor to teach Spanish for the International Baccalaurettte (IB) Diploma years.

For the last 13 years I have worked as a language instructor in multiple settings, as a creative consultant to national companies, and as a teachers’ trainer in the Accelerated Learning Methodology. I served as the Head of the Foreign Language Department at the Khabele School for 5 years and I currently direct the Language Department in St. Francis School, where I also teach Spanish 7th-8th grades.

I currently live in Austin with my dear husband Dave and my two baby dogs, Peggy and Jebediah. I love traveling, I am passionate about languages and cultures and I seriously consider myself a world citizen. Besides Spanish, I speak English, Portuguese and French. I believe learning a language is a life experience therefore it is crucial to learn it with joy.

I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico where I earned a B.A. in Business Administration. I started my career in the field of language acquisition in 1999. I am an Accelerated Learning instructor certified by the University of Houston in the Accelerated Learning Methodology. To further my career, in 2006 I had the good fortune to travel to Vienna, Austria and to be certified by Dr. Georgi Lozanov, founder of Suggestopedia, what is currently known as Accelerated Learning.
